Meet Timothy G. Doody


Partner


Tim Doody is a partner in the Law Firm of Weis, DuBrock, Doody & Maher. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Champaign, a M.S. in Taxation from DePaul Graduate School of Business and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. He is also a CPA.


Prior to joining the firm in 1995, Tim worked in the Cook County Assessor’s Office and the tax department of Bansley & Kiener CPAs.


Tim has analyzed and appealed assessments on a full spectrum of property tax issues. He is the primary commercial property tax advocate for the firm and has presented cases before assessment officials and Boards of Review throughout Illinois and Wisconsin including the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board and the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Tim has written and spoken on property tax matters before the Chicago Association of Realtors, various Chambers of Commerce and the Illinois CPA society. He previously served on the Property Tax Advisory Council for the City of Chicago under Richard M. Daley. 

Currently, Tim serves on the Board of Directors for the David Kinley Educational Foundation for the University of Illinois . Tim also Chairs the Finance Committee and serves on the Board of Trustees for Mother McAuley High School in Chicago and is the Vice President of the Beverly Area Planning Association.
